Smudged Graphics was founded by Lou Genovese in 1995.

Lou's career started in the biotechnology industry, where he worked as a molecular biologist for 8 years. Smudged Graphics was started on the idea of bringing the clarity of a visual experience to the world of complex scientific and technical communication. That passion has lead to the successful completion of many projects across a variety of industries.
After completing certificates in both photography and graphic design, 11 years of experience, and an insatiable desire for learning, Lou has combined the scientific and the creative to produce a strong visual style that offers clients a professional means to increase credibility and brand recognition.
Lou is currently a member of the Pixel Corps, a guild of digital media artists, and holds the position of Senior Artisan on the 2006 Theory of Visual Effects Team. The team is working on a series of educational animations teaching concepts of the visual effects process.
Lou is a member of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals.
